To Kill a Mockingbird
Tennessee Repertory Theatre, 2010
This adaptation of Harper Lee’s novel was set in a remembered world akin to a fading photograph. The fragmentary set designed by Gary Hoff was monochromatic and painted in a storybook fashion. The lighting was sepia-toned and soft edged to illustrate this idealized space as the story unfolded, narrated by an adult Scout.
