Antigone
Vanderbilt University Theatre, 2022
This production of Antigone was rooted in the traditions of the Ancient Greeks with some choices informed by contemporary theatre. The set for the production was simple to allow for movement including a large scale battle that began the play, while including some hints of Greek architecture. Lighting illustrated the course of a day in the scenes, from morning through evening and night to dawn, while the choral odes were depicted outside of this linear time.
