2.5 Minute Ride
American Stage Theatre Company, 2012
The narrator in this autobiographical play interweaves stories of family trips to an amusement park, riding a roller coaster for the first time, and of visiting Auschwitz with her father, a Holocaust survivor. This a play of remembrance, sorrow, and joy. The production demanded deft lighting that reflected each location and mood, and that moved fluidly between them.
